“Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love” 1 Cor. 16:13-14
Men, God commands you to act like a man... News Flash.
Scripture tells us to be watchful, stand firm, be strong, and do everything in love. God commands this because men, living biblically, standing for truth and honor, and loving like Christ, are direly needed. Easier said than done?Culture, media and the enemy of our souls has another message for men that runs in direct opposition to what God tells us. Our communities, our churches and our families have felt the devastating impact of this, and desperately need men (you) to join in a change, to understand and reorient masculinity according to God's calling and design.
"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." Rom. 12:2
The Bible instructs us to not conform to the ways of this world, but to be transformed. We know that change is needed, but how do we do that? At this year's Men's Retreat and Workshop, we'll dive into this sacred calling of "acting like men." We'll biblically explore topics like passivity, distraction and isolation; and we'll dive into the value and need for action, purpose and brotherhood among men. We'll unpack ways we need to change to look more like who God created and commanded us to be. To change how we work, play, and eat; how we spend our money, energy and time; how we love our wives and raise our children; how we view God, and how we view ourselves as brothers, and as His sons.
A change is on the rise... Men, will you be part of it?

The most obvious example of baptism that we see in the Bible is that of Jesus Himself (Matt. 3). In that case, baptism served as confirmation from God the Father that Jesus was, in fact, who He claimed to be. But Jesus didn’t stop at merely setting an example of baptism. He went on to command in Matthew 28 that Christians should go into the world, preach the Gospel and baptize believers. Therefore, baptism is not just a recommendation for the believer, but a command for all those who have been saved by the grace of God, put their faith in Him and desire to obediently follow the Lord.
