IT’S A NEW DAY
Healing from Trauma & Abuse
A 14-week support group for women seeking healing, freedom, restoration, and wholeness in Jesus.
Meeting Monday nights at 6PM
Mercy Hill Church – Bay View
Healing from trauma and abuse can feel overwhelming, isolating, and exhausting. It’s a New Day is a safe, Christ-centered support group designed to walk alongside women on a journey toward healing and hope.
Through biblical teaching, supportive community, and honest conversation, participants are encouraged to experience restoration and freedom in Jesus.
Whether your wounds are recent or years old, this group exists to remind you that healing is possible and that your story is not over.
You Are Not Alone
It’s a New Day follows a biblically based 12-step curriculum created by Pastor Laurie Ganiere, a trauma-informed ministry leader and survivor advocate.
The curriculum helps women:
Process past trauma and abuse
Identify lies and destructive thought patterns
Experience emotional and spiritual healing
Grow in forgiveness and trust
Rediscover identity and hope in Christ
This group is designed specifically for women and is facilitated in a supportive, confidential environment.

No. Participants are never pressured to speak before they are comfortable.
-
Yes. Creating a safe and trustworthy environment is very important to us.
-
There is no cost to attend the group. Mercy Hill Church sponsors this ministry as a way to help bring healing and wholeness to those in and around our community. The only cost is $10 for the workbook, which can be purchased through us.
-
Possibly, yes. We allow new participants to join within the first two weeks after the group begins. After that, too much of the group material and connection time has been missed, so it is usually best to wait until the next group begins after the current 14-week session is completed.
